In my opinion the Swine Flu is way to overated. About 30,000 to 40,000 deaths occur due to the flu each year in the United States. The Swine Flu is scaring everyone becuase it's somethign that we have not seen before and the media hyped it too much. In my opinion it's not the serious, and people should stop making it seem bigger than it is. It is deadly and it has killed inocent people but the regular flu and other diseases.
Here is a video to understand Swine Flu better:

I totally agree with you. It is just a regular flu except from pigs..like you said 30,000-40,000 die a year from the NORMAL flu. The swine flu is not new either, it was around in the late 1970s(maybe 80s) not sure though..Those dieing are in terrible health without medical treatment. The normal flu would kill those with a poor immune system or with no treatment.
ReplyDeletePeople are probably a bit too scared because this is how AIDS came about. A new disease that has never been seen before that possibly came from an animal and it's spreading fast. And cmon now, lets not be surprised about people freaking out. We do some pretty dumb stuff, I mean, people like Paris Hitlon and other rich women are famous and idolized when the oposite should be done.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree with you, Swine Flu is Overrated! The only reason its getting alto of media attention is because its devastated Mexico as a serious disease and a new problem they have to deal with.
